Seats for Soldiers

Challenge coins have a long history in the military and often commemorate special events. The Celtics gave this challenge coin, featuring the team logo on the front and seals of the then-five military branches on the back, to members of the military. The team honors service members and their families at the annual Seats for Soldiers Night, in which season ticket holders donate seats to military families, who then participate in a post-game shootaround and meet a player. Dave Hoffman, VP of Community Engagement, said what really moves him “is when I see a serviceman or -woman coming in with their family.”
