Saying Goodbye to Hondo

Just before Game 3 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks, Celtics players and coaches paid tribute to Hall-of-Famer John Havlicek, who had recently passed away. The team wore black shirts with Havlicek’s No. 17 inside a green box in homage to the retired number banner at TD Garden. “We feel lucky to celebrate John Havlicek,” said Head Coach Brad Stevens.
