Just back from a trip to his ancestral Ireland, Reagan compared Boston’s basketball team to the Celtic warriors of old. “You threw yourselves into that final battle with all the pride and determination and heart that made you a legend in basketball history,” said President Reagan, referencing Boston’s Game 7 win of the 1984 NBA Finals.
