Vintage jackets never go out of style, and this look stemming from the Celtics of the late 1940s is as stylish as ever. It’s fitting that longtime Celtics PR man Jeff Twiss would own a piece this awesome. For more than four decades, Twiss has been the bridge between the team and the public as equal parts hype man, historian and gatekeeper. Red Auerbach hired him on a drive back from a 1981 preseason game in Rhode Island. “He was reliable, sincere, and direct,” Auerbach recalled. “I thought he’d be a good addition to the Celtics staff.”
