The New Big Three Salutes Red

In a salute to the first Celtics championship without Red Auerbach, All-Star forward Kevin Garnett, flanked by teammates Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, smoked a cigar to celebrate the team’s 17th NBA World Championship title. NBA Finals MVP Pierce later smoked his own cigar that he said was given to him by Auerbach, who passed away in 2006.
