The Legend of No. 14

On October 26, 1963, Boston retired Bob Cousy’s No. 14. The honor came only six months after Cousy’s last game in the Green and White when the Celtics won the 1963 NBA World Championship title. Cousy’s former teammates added to the occasion on his jersey retirement night by defeating the Baltimore Bullets, 123-108. This game-worn jacket bearing his legendary No. 14 now hangs in TD Garden.
