Swim Meet with Tacko

What would you do if Tacko Fall joined your swim class? That’s exactly what happened at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s location in Charlestown, when the 7-foot-5 Celtics rookie signed up. Instead of helping teach the class, Fall came for actual lessons. “I never really had a shame saying I couldn’t swim,” he said. Though Fall admitted he was afraid of letting go of the wall (despite staying on the five- to six-foot end of the pool), he joined the other young students in floating, paddling and holding their breath under water. After a successful first lesson, Fall made plans to return for more.
