Boston backers want to see their stars work hard and be appreciative of their support. That’s why fans have loved scrappy players like Marcus Smart. For his part, Smart also liked Celtics fans. Whether it was signing autographs, surprising fans on social media or raising money in the community for his YounGameChanger Foundation, Smart took being a Boston sports pro seriously and fans appreciated that. Said Smart at a camp, “You’ve got kids here that just want to have fun and want to be around people that inspire them. That’s why we’re here.”
