Sharman’s Skills
Date: 1955
Bill Sharman attempted to dribble around George Milkan of the Minneapolis Lakers during a home game in 1955. At only 6-foot-1, Sharman had to move quickly to maneuver around the 6-foot-10 Milkan. When his playing career ended, Sharman found himself coaching the Lakers ā except in Los Angeles. At the time of his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach in 2004, Sharman was only the third person in NBA history to be inducted as both a player and coach.
