Schooled by Red

The Red Auerbach Basketball School started in 1960 and in the camp’s early years, campers saw the Celtics stars of the day like Bob Cousy, Satch Sanders and Tommy Heinsohn prepare for their upcoming season. The camp continued operating after Auerbach’s death in 2006, run by a former counselor named Steve Curley. When asked what kept him running the Red Auerbach Basketball School, Curley responded, “I’ve got the passion to keep Red’s name alive.”
