Paul Pierce and the Celtics got the better of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers as the two dueled in Los Angeles on February 26, 2006. Pierce’s free throw with 3.2 seconds left put the Celtics on top for good, 112-111. Bryant won the individual duel, outscoring Pierce by one point, 40 to 39. That didn’t bother Pierce. “I’m not thinking about points, I’m thinking about wins,” he said.
