Pierce Gives Doc a Bath

The Celtics won only one division championship and never advanced past the Eastern Conference Finals in Paul Pierce’s first nine seasons. When Pierce and the Celtics won the NBA World Championship title in 2008, the future Hall-of-Famer celebrated the end of the drought by dumping contents of a drink cooler all over Head Coach Doc Rivers. When asked why, Pierce explained, “I see it on TV all the time, so I decided to go do it.”
