Turning the tables on Celtics President Red Auerbach, Larry Bird smoked one of Red’s famous cigars after the Celtics won the 1981 NBA World Championship title. It was the first for Bird in just his second professional season, but the 14th for longtime Celtics legend Auerbach. When asked if he ever got tired of winning championships, Red could only say, “Never.”
