Let’s Get It Back!

Coming off a loss in the 1982 Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics were determined to “get back” to their NBA World Championship-winning ways. The most important offseason move to meet that goal came by trading longtime franchise stalwart Dave Cowens to the Milwaukee Bucks for point guard Quinn Buckner. Though initially a starter, Buckner became a valuable bench player and a master of steals over the next three seasons.
