Larry: Thirty Years Later

Fans who watched Larry Bird in his prime certainly had a hard time believing that three decades had passed when they picked up a program for the 2016 NBA Playoffs. In the featured article, Bird discussed his third consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player Award and defeating the Houston Rockets in the 1986 NBA Finals. One of the most amazing things about the team was that they lost only once at home in the regular season and not at all in the playoffs. In true Bird fashion he recalled, “I don’t know why we went 40-1, but I do know why Portland beat us. They were the better team that night”
