Havlicek’s Secret Shoe

These shoes, autographed by John Havlicek, have quite a unique story. Prior to the arrival of Nike sneakers, PONY endorsed major sports stars, including John Havlicek and Wilt Chamberlain. Dubbed the “Havlicek Pro-Model,” this pair was decked out in Celtics green. Around the company’s 40th anniversary in 2012, PONY looked back on some of its early days and admitted nobody could remember the Havlicek Pro-Model or find any other record of their existence. A secret lost to history.
