The Celtics returned to the mountaintop with the 1981 NBA World Championship title, their first in five seasons. NBA Finals MVP Cedric Maxwell led the way, averaging more than 17 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game in the NBA Finals against the Houston Rockets.
