Hondo to Wizard of Westwood

Signed by Celtics star John Havlicek, these green Adidas shoes with white stripes had a huge impact on basketball. Nicknamed the “Superstar,” Adidas developed the shoes just in time for the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. The Celtics wore them during the 1969 NBA World Championship title season, and soon after famed UCLA basketball coach John Wooden switched his teams to wearing Adidas shoes.
