Bob Cousy won his first NBA World Championship title in 1957 after the Celtics defeated the St. Louis Hawks. Cousy played a key role in the series, tallying 64 assists over seven games. In the double-overtime Game 7, Cousy made up for his 2-of-20 shooting from the field by hitting 8-of-10 free throws and posting a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.
