Cousy’s Magic Touch
Date: 1950s
The NBA played its first ever All-Star Game in March 1951, held at Boston Garden. Bob Cousy, who earned the nickname “Houdini of the Hardwood,” played in 13 straight All-Star Games from 1951 to 1963. Elgin Baylor, amazed by Cousy’s magic, looked on as the Celtics guard drove to the basket in one of those early All-Star Games.
