Boston’s Heart and Soul

In a team preview ahead of the 2007-08 season, journalist Gary Dzen wrote that new arrival Kevin Garnett was “the heart and soul of this Celtics team.” In Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, Garnett led by example by scoring 26 points and grabbing 14 rebounds as the Celtics won their 17th NBA World Championship title. Finally, the longtime forward and perennial All-Star got his ring.
