Below the Parquet Floor

Not every piece of the Boston Garden parquet was shined and polished, but they all mattered. Below the glossy surface was a network of wood planks, brass screws and 988 bolts that kept the 247 5-by-5-inch wood parquet panels in place. The famous “Bull Gang” needed about two-and-a-half hours to put the entire jigsaw puzzle together.
