A Real Hall-of-Fame Jacket
When Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall-of-Famers are inducted at Springfield, they receive an orange jacket to symbolize their achievement. For Celtics fans, this off-the-rack jacket with its original tags might be more valuable. Ten members of the Hall of Fame signed the jacket along with seven more Celtics favorites from the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
A Winning Symbol
Sam Jones, Frank Ramsey and Tommy Heinsohn (left to right) celebrated after a game in 1959. The trio played together on Boston’s NBA World Championship title teams from 1959 to 1964. During the 1959-60 season, the team went on a then franchise-record 17-game winning streak, eventually snapped by the Cincinnati Royals on January 1, 1960.
